Darwin Waterfront Re-Development
The Darwin Waterfront redevelopment is transforming a 25 hectare industrial site into a vibrant business, tourism and recreation precinct.
The project has already seen the construction of the Darwin Convention Centre which comprises a 1500 seat auditorium and 4000m2 of exhibition space, a hotel complex, a multi-storey public carpark, a wavepool ,a public beach and recreational boating harbour and a public promenade.
The project will also deliver magnificent waterfront living and boutique retail and commercial spaces.
EJA performed the
initial topographic survey of the entire site and then established the
site coordinate system which will utilised for the complete life of the
project.
In conjunction with the NT Government and private developers EJA has
provided a range of service including engineering set-out, high rise
building set-out, GPS control surveys, boundary and unit title surveys.
The project has involved complex titling procedures and amendments to legislation to achieve the desired titling outcomes. EJA has worked with legal consultants, Government and the private developers by utilising existing legislation to secure titles and then on the preparation of new legislation and procedures to create new titling schemes designed specifically for this project.
EJA’s expertise has ensured the completion of the various components on time and continues to provide innovative solutions to meet the specific needs of all the parties involved in this landmark Darwin development.
