Cullen Bay Marina Estate was the first marina estate developed in the Northern Territory.
We  then formed part of the team which designed the subdivision and  gained planning approval.
We carried out all the engineering survey for Thiess Constructions including the initial survey of the offshore sandbar which was dredged to provide the majority of the fill material for the project. (We continue to monitor the sandbar to determine the lasting effect of the dredging).
Our involvement continued to include the cadastral survey , plan preparation and the issue of titles.

Earl James and Associates has also been associated with the ongoing Bayview Marina Estate since the idea for the development was originally conceived in the early 1980's.
We are proud to provide design, planning, engineering and cadastral surveying services to the developers (Dover Investments, Henry Walker Eltin and Austcorp).
Bayview has also utilised the Estate Development provisions of the Unit Titles Act and we are pleased to say that we have a sound understanding of these provisions and how they can be used to benefit different types of developments.

We pride ourselves on being able to provide developers with a full range of services. Opposite are pictures of the prestigious Crown Point Apartments at Cullen Bay and the Saville Hotel on Darwin's Esplanade.
For both of these projects our involvement began with topographic surveys of the sites and the provision of the data to the developer's engineers and architects.
Our surveyors then carried out the construction survey for the builders, Gwelo and Sitzler Brothers.
Crown Point Apartments were then unit titled and by utilising the digital architectural plans we were able to ensure that titles were available immediately after the issue of the final building and planning permits.
Earl James and Associates was proud to be able to advise the developers of the Saville, Stocklands, on how to unit title the hotel development using the Unit Titles Act.

The development of State Square in the Darwin CBD has to date included the construction the Supreme Court building and the magnificent Parliament House.
We worked in conjunction with Darwin's engineering and architectural firm's to design and construct these two landmarks.

The Timor Sea natural gas project requires specialist surveying services and Earl James and Associates has provided those services to NT and international firms which have constructed the pumps and wells which are positioned on the floor of the Timor Sea.
Surveyors worked shift work to ensure that the pumps met the critical tolerances and were available for shipment to the gas fields at the appointed time.
Our involvement in the project continues as we provide topographic survey services for the for the design of the proposed LNG plant and the receival point for the pipeline which will transport the gas from the gas field.

The Alice Springs to Darwin railway and the new East Arm Port will truly make Darwin the gateway to Asia. These two projects will dramatically reduce the time it takes to transport freight from Asia to the southern states.
Again, Earl James and Associates has played a critical role in these major infrastructure projects. Design, topographic, cadastral, construction, hydrographic and monitoring services have been provided to all the professions involved in these developments.

East Timor was devastated by the violence which followed the independence vote in 1999. Our firm has worked in conjunction with engineers, architects and construction firms to help in the re-construction of Dili and the infrastructure required to re-build the world's newest country.
We are able to mobilise at short notice and then make the data available.
